I had the opportunity to chat with Suzanne Boyd, News Anchor for Fox 29 / CBS 12 news here in West Palm Beach, at a recent “Tweet up.” Twitter is a social media, social networking platform that allows people to share thoughts and ideas in 140 character messages.
A tweetup is when the members of your twitter network take the virtual relationship, and make it a physical one. We get together, talk, socialize, and generally just have a good time.
This was Suzanne’s first tweetup, and I’m glad she came. It shows that the people behind the mesages are real, fun, and willing to come out from behind the computer screen now and again.
